Research

Experience feels rich, seamless, and worth remembering. It is none of those things when it arrives. The eyes sample the world in narrow, interrupted snatches; almost all of it is discarded within seconds; what survives is a handful of moments we can tell a story about.

I am broadly interested in how we represent, remember and organize continuous experiences. In my research I tackle these questions using eye tracking, fMRI, computational modeling, and behavioral tools.
